The Real Ha Giang Tours were born during the Covid pandemic and launched in March 2022. A simple idea; to show people what Ha Giang was about before mass tourism arrived!
OUR MISSION
Authentic, Cultural and Sustainable tourism.
Headed by Thao Be, half Dao and half Tay ethnic, born and raised in Ha Giang. With extensive local knowledge and connections, coupled with a genuine desire to benefit the local population; The Real Ha Giang Tours were born.

"Let's show people what Ha Giang is really about". It's not about Karaoke, getting blind drunk and partying until the small hours. Ha Giang is brimming with ancient culture and traditions. An extremely diverse mix of Ethnic tribes make up the local population - let's give people a genuine insight into local life in the mountains.
OUR PROMISE
Local accommodation, local restaurants, local guides!
Every guide, rider, restaurant, café, and accommodation we use is local; real people from Ha Gaing. We want them to benefit from the tourism Ha Giang is now experiencing.

We pay our riders and guides a proper salary, we pay our partners well for the experiences they provide, we use only local owned services - directly benefitting the real local community. We invest, we build, we create together.

But more than financially, we support and promote sustainable tourism. Our group tours are limited to just 8 people, we want to keep Ha Giang; raw, authentic, natural and real. We want those personal connections, interactions that require intimacy. This can only be achieved and sustained with limited group sizes.
Our Journey So Far
The Real Ha Giang Tours are founded!
March 2022
Frustrated even confused by the existing offering; every tour doing the same old route, the same old stops, zero activities and largely bypassing the real local population - we decided we could do better!
2026 ....
We continue to grow and develop; New routes, activities and experiences. But perhaps more importantly; through investment, collaboration and trust we are able to get you even closer to local life here. Genuine interactions with friends who not only value your custom but your desire to learn about their culture.
